Faceless

Alyssa B. Sheinmel is the author of many award-winning books including Faceless, The Stone Girl, and Second Star. She is based in New York and currently writes full time, although she admits she doesn't write every day. As a child, strangely enough, Alyssa pretended that she hated reading just to avoid being like her sister, who loved reading, and even pretended to hate pizza just for the same result. As she grew up, it got harder for her to pretend, and eventually she gave in. She transferred schools and had teachers who helped her write and supported her. She has channeled all of the support from her fans, friends, and family into books she writes.
